  • The Detroit Future City Community Innovation Fund will award grants of up to $15,000 each to approximately 4-10 Detroit based organizations to realize planning and/or implementation projects for the summer of 2016. The deadline to apply is April 17, 2016.   • The Michigan Architectural Foundation is accepting applications for the Evans - Graham Memorial Preservation Award for Historic Preservation. Thanks to a partnership with the Clannad Foundation, a five year commitment from Quinn Evans Architects of Ann Arbor and an anonymous endowment, a grant of $7,500 will be awarded to a not-for-profit (501(c)(3) organization that can demonstrate a creative solution to a preservation problem.   • The Rain Gardens to the Rescue program is a series of workshops designed to teach you about rain gardens, so that you can plant your very own garden and educate your neighbors and family to do the same. In addition to the workshops, participants will receive garden supplies and rain garden installation support. Space is limited. The Neighborhood Exchange Quarterly Forum is a great opportunity to CONNECT, SHARE AND LEARN with community leaders from across Detroit.

2016 CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP SERIES 
Michigan Community Resources invites members and leaders of block clubs and other community-based organizations in Detroit to participate in the 2016 Capacity Building Workshop Series. Attendees will enhance their skills in key organizational areas through interactive activities, informative presentations, guest speakers, peer networking, learning, and much more. Participation in all ten workshops is encouraged, but not required, as each workshop builds on the previous session.
