Inner City Dance Scope is housed in the historic Detroit Opera House in the heart of Downtown Detroit.
We offer quality dance training for both children and adults (ages 3 and up).
ICDS is committed to developing a rich legacy of dance for the city of Detroit. The ICDS dancers are know for cutting edge technique and choreography. ICDS has trained dancers in the city of Detroit for the past 17 years and continues to train and develop dancers and performers.
Former ICDS dancer Bianca Revels was in the final rounds of "So You Think You Can Dance" as the first tap dancer selected to a final round.
Dancers Asia Little and Whisper Bateman both danced with American Ballet Theater.
We have a rich legacy at ICDS and we continue to share it with the Detroit community.
ICDS dancers have performed in productions of the Nutcracker featuring the Joffrey Ballet and Grand Rapids Ballet.
ICDS dancers are known to advance in the areas of performing and technical acuity due to the skilled and experienced ICDS instructors.

Monthly Tuition:
PDP - $100
Pre Dance, Beginning, Hip Hop/Tap, Teens - $55
Creative Movement & Creative Movement/Hip Hop for boys - $50
Toddler Dance - $40
Adult Dance Series - $10 per class
Tuition payments are due on the 2nd Saturday of each month. * Tuition includes class instruction and concert rehearsals. All accounts paid after the 2nd Saturday will be assessed a $15 late fee.
ICDS accepts cash, checks, and credit cards (add 6% service charge for credit card payments) $25 return check fee
Fee for Concert Costume & Tights:
Jr. Showstoppers- $227 (4 costumes) Ballet/Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap
Protege - $165 (3 costumes) Ensemble, Modern, Jazz
Academy classes - $117: Toddler Dance, Creative Movement, Pre Dance, Beginning Dance, Teens and Hip Hop/Tap
$110: Hip Hop/Creative Movement for boys (no tights)
Combination Classes:
All academy classes are combination classes (Ballet & Jazz) except the Hip Hop/Tap and Hip Hop/Creative Movement for boys classes.
Concert Dances:
Jr. Showstoppers dancers will perform a total of 4 dances in the annual concert
Protege dancers will perform a total of 3 dances in the annual concert
Creative Movement/Hip Hop for boys, Toddler Dance, Creative Movement, Pre Dance, Beginning Dance, Teen Dance and Hip Hop/Tap will perform a total of 2 dances in the annual concert
Adult Dance Series:
The Adult Dance Series will offer dance lessons in the areas of ballet, jazz, hip hop, stretching/toning, and praise dancing
