New Center Park Events July 8-10
This week, the Park will screen movies during the Wednesdayand Friday Night Movie series, and will host Slavic Soul Party!, a fiery Balkan brass/jazz band from New York City.

New Center Park is the perfect venue to enjoy the rhythms presented in "Drumline," featuring rapper and actor Nick Cannon as a young drummer who joins a marching band.

THURSDAY, JULY 9 - Slavic Soul Party!
Doors 6:00 p.m., performance 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
American Balkan brass and jazz band Slavic Soul Party! is coming from Brooklyn to bring Detroit their unforgettable performance of gypsy music, klezmer, funk, and New Orleans jazz. This fiery band is a tour-de-force that has a reputation for keeping audiences dancing from the moment they take the stage until late into the night. |

FRIDAY, JULY 10 - The Lego Movie
Doors 8:00 p.m., screening 9:00 p.m. (depending on sunset)
"The Lego Movie" is the first ever, full-length theatrical LEGO adventure! Bring the kids to the Park at 8:00 p.m. for a family-friendly activity.
